A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to underwrite residential mortgage loans remotely in Wisconsin or Illinois.
Key Responsibilities
Underwrite conventional, government, and construction loans in compliance with guidelines
Analyze financial information, including income calculations, debt ratios, and credit reviews
Monitor loan quality through external quality control reports and assist lenders with training
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 4+ years of underwriting experience
Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHLB, VA, and secondary market guidelines
Experience with Encompass is a plus
College degree and/or equivalent work experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
