A company is looking for a DRG Validation Clinician.
Key Responsibilities
Perform clinical record reviews to ensure the accuracy of medical coding
Utilize clinical expertise and guidelines to support findings with clear rationales
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two years? experience in clinical review, inpatient coding, or utilization management
Knowledge of health insurance business, industry terminology, and regulatory guidelines
At least 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting
Active, unrestricted RN license or graduation from Medical School; CCS or CIC certification is highly desired
Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic and surgical procedures
