A company is looking for a Design Director to lead its transition to a digitally driven, audience-centered publication.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the design of all products, ensuring adherence to the organization?s brand and commitment to diverse journalism
Manage and mentor the Art Department team, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high performance
Lead the design and production of digital products, print editions, and marketing materials to engage audiences and attract subscribers
Required Qualifications
Bachelor?s or graduate degree in journalism, graphic design, visual communication, or equivalent experience
Substantial experience in editorial, marketing, and fundraising design and production across platforms
Experience managing nimble, results-oriented teams and collaborating at a management level
Deep understanding of journalism, design principles, and project management
Proficiency in Adobe suites, Tableau, Excel, WordPress, and email marketing software; experience with Newspack is ideal
