Job Description - Senior Accountant - Government Contracting
A company is looking for a Senior Accountant specializing in government contracting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare day-to-day and month-end close entries, including revenue and payroll
Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process and complex reconciliations
Supervise and mentor staff accountants, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks
Required Qualifications and Education
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 4 years of experience in government contractor accounting
CPA preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and federal government contract compliance regulations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
