A company is looking for a Research Assistant to support the development of a policy tracker module aimed at combating illegal gold mining in the Amazon.
Key Responsibilities
Compile and organize relevant laws, regulations, and international commitments from nine Amazonian countries
Coordinate with in-country partners on the implementation of the policy tracker and support related meetings and workshops
Contribute to the preparation of reports, policy briefs, and other communication materials for diverse audiences
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor?s degree in public policy, environmental science, political science, international relations, or a related field
Experience in conducting policy research and analysis, preferably in environmental or conservation issues
Professional fluency in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese
Minimum two years of experience in program or project implementation, particularly in multi-stakeholder environments
Hands-on experience in the Amazon region with an understanding of its environmental, social, and political dynamics
